We are currently seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our Vancouver based team.
Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Communications Coordinator will play a support role for the team and will provide day-to-day communications support across all Contac brands.
External Communications Support (but not limited to):
- Day-today key communications administrative tasks including (but not limited to) the upkeep of key communications files and folders, both paper and electronic
- Press Release writing, editing and distribution
- Support and coordinate incoming media requests as necessary
- Support and coordinate the monthly press release calendar, media monitoring including Twitter and managing various internal email accounts
- Other duties as assigned
Internal Communications Support (but not limited to):
- Writing and editing communication materials and managing the departments intranet portal which is the main communications vehicle for sharing information
- Draft and edit internal communication for multiple audiences including company memos, leadership messages, PowerPoint presentations and various other media
- Tactical execution of special events including but not limited to: holiday functions, agenda planning and event management as required.
- Manage and support ongoing internal projects such as the monthly staff newsletter
- Other duties as assigned

- Attention to detail while managing multiple projects and meeting crucial timelines
Education and Area of Study:
- At least 2 years communications experience in a deadline driven, fast paced environment
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years business experience, collaborating with multiple stakeholders
This is a full time, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday position but will require flexibility to work on call, unusual hours or extended shifts when necessary.
