As Canada's largest direct marketing, print and fulfillment company, corporate social responsibility (CSR) isn't something we take lightly. In fact over the past several years we've been steadily building our reputation as an environmentally-conscious printer.

As a corporation, we have taken a proactive approach towards a greener and brighter future by investing in products that minimize our environmental footprint by implementing policies that reduce, reuse and recycle.

Operations

Invested in clean digital technology and computerized automation, chemistry-free printing plates, and on- and offline variable data printing solutions.
Implemented automated and online solutions for dockets and docket tracking to reduce the paper waste from internal processes.
Our internal accounting process, including our online estimating and tracking system, is automated and almost completely paperless.
Recycle office refuse through a variety of means. Workplaces and conference rooms have recycling bins for office paper and our print facilities are equipped with various recycling cages and bins so paper waste can be recycled according to stock and waste type.
Utilize an eco-friendly natural gas-powered generator as our redundancy solution for power, which further proves our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint without hindering our production capabilities.

Supplier Relations

Contac offers competitive and innovative products and services that meet the needs of our clients, and are very particular when it comes to vetting our print partners. It is important to us that we only work with vendors who share our ethical and ecological perspectives.

Best Practices

Source our paper from environmentally approved suppliers that are accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and/or Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
Encourage our clients to use our natural soy-based inks and chlorine-free paper stocks that are 25% to 100% post-consumer recycled.
